1966 Mustang convertible,C code 289 2v c4 auto(original drivetrain). PS, Power top, New bright red base/clear paint(car was stripped to bare metal), two tone red/parchment interior.
This is an 80,700+ actual mileage car. Flawless power steering, purrs like a kitten and the c4 tranny shifts nice. Holds very nice oil pressure and water temp is ideal.
The car has had the following replaced:
Brand new styled steel wheels and white letter tires. They don't have but 20 miles on them as of today.
Exterior metal:
Short front floors, trunk floors, outer wheelhouses, full qtr.panels, new heavy gauge front fenders, front and rear valances.
The rest of the body including all the frame, torque boxes, rails, fender aprons are all nice original metal. the doors are rust free originals as well. This is a real survivor car being it's a midwest car. Previous owner told me it spent the better of 20 years garaged and driven on occasion.
Interior:
new carpet, upholstery, door panels, arm rests.
new convertible top(works perfect)
New front upper and lower suspension, tune up with bosch plugs, points. New u-joints in driveshaft. Brakes & wheel cylinders were replaced by previous owner within the last year. All other work has been completed in the last 6 months.
Engine compartment has been moderately detailed as can be seen in the picture gallery.
The exterior chrome is all original and in good condition. Some of the stainless could be polished but there is no major piting like you'd expect to see on most pieces that old.
As you can tell I've added the GT valance and exhaust trumpets as well as the stripes and badges. As of these pics being taken the GT foglamp setup was being shipped to me and will be installed by the end of next week.
