1965 Mustang Restomod, very solid car and platform. Below is a short list of things I can remember that's been done. I'm also attaching a link to some pictures
Body:
• Originally a 6 cylinder car. Converted to a V8 /289 with a 4 spd. prior to my purchase. Good solid platform.
• Black interior in very good shape.
• Body is OK. No rust under the car at all…. There is a small rust section in the drivers side rear front wheel well. But overall the car is solid, but should be painted.
This is what I've done with the car since I've had it.
Motor:
• 1986 302 roller motor, bored 30 over (306)
• Keith Black pistons ( 10.5 – 11:1 Compression with current heads)
• New Crank
• New I-beam rods w/ARP studs
• Main Girdle
• Edelbrock intake (#7121)
• Edelbrock Heads (Performer RPM) 60cc Combustion Chamber ,170cc Intake Runner, 1.90" Intake and 1.60" Exhaust Valves. With Jegs Aluminum Roller Rockers Arms (1.6 ratio) W/stud Girdle.
• Edelbrock cam (#2221) With Ford Racing Roller Lifters
• Edelbrock Carburetor (Performer series #1407)
• “Noise Pete” Timing gears
• Canton road racing oil pan
• Aluminum Radiator
I followed The Edelbrock Power Package setup so the motor should be in the 375 - 395
hp range.
Exhaust:
• Shorty headers
• Flowmaster exhaust
Transmission:
• T-5 world class Trans (rebuilt). Out of a V8 car (NOT A 4 Cylinder!)
• Mustang steve's Cable clutch conversion.
• Spec Stage 2 clutch (complete kit)
Suspension (front):
• OpenTracker upper and lower reinforced control arms.
• 1” drop of upper control arms (Shelby Drop)
• All polyurethane bushings
• GT 350 Springs (1” lower) W/ polyurethane seats
• Roller Spring perches
• All new V8 steering linkage
• 13” cobra brakes using MustangSteves brackets
• Baer Tracker Kit ( Adjustable tie rod ends)
• Adjustable Strut Rods
• 17 in cobra wheels
EVERYTHING upfront in the suspension is NEW nothing used....
Interior :
• Complete Autometer Gauges (speedo, tach, oil pressure, Water temp, Fuel and Volts).
• Kirkey Vintage race seat.
• Kenwood AM/FM, CD head unit, Also have 2 Amps, one is a Kenwood driving the rear 6X9 deck speakers. Also have another amp driving a 10 in Sub in the trunk.
The car really does perform well. It's a good car that needs a few things to finish it out. All the big stuff is done. I've been driving the car on the weekends and it a blast. It’s really a fun car...
I'm sure I'm leaving out some stuff.
I'm looking to sell it out right but might trade for something interesting. I might even do a combo trade of a car of less value with cash.
Here's a link to additional pictures.

Before some asks here's a few things that need attention.
The car could be just fine for most as it sits. Some may want to do other things to it. If I keep it, I would paint it... There are small things that could be done like, moving the battery to the trunk for better weight transfer. I was also planning on changing out the rear to a 9 in. posi with 3.50 gears and install some subframe connectors along with a Panhard Bar on the rear for handling. Gas gauge needs to be hooked up. The brake bias valve needs adjusting (the rears are locking up to soon) easily done but I haven't got to it yet. The car has the mustang steve clutch cable setup with a stag 2 clutch and it's a heavy clutch. I was thinking about a Hydraulic clutch setup.
The car has less then 500 miles on it. hell, I think it less then 200 since the motor was put it. So, all the adjustments that go with a hotrod applies. Final adjustment, I guess you could call it.....
