1966 Shelby Tribute R model - vintage racer car

I'm selling this car for a close friend of mine. I know the car well so I have no problem listing this for him. It's a very cool car that has one trophy's at local shows and has been driven on Waterford race track.


WHAT YOU SEE IN THE FOLLOWING PHOTOS IS A VERY NICE 1966 2+2 SHELBY “R” MODEL TRIBUTE CAR. I ACQUIRED THIS CAR ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO IN TEXAS. THE CAR WAS ORIGINALLY CUSTOM BUILT IN THIS FASHION FOR USE AT A SHELBY CONVENTION AT FONTANA RACEWAY IN CALIFORNIA. IT HAS BEEN A BLAST TO OWN AND DRIVE. SITTING STILL, CRUISING DOWN THE ROAD, EVEN AN OCCASIONAL TRIP AROUND THE TRACK, THIS THING GETS NOTICED. IT DOES NOT BLEND. IF YOUR IDEA OF OWNING A CAR IS ACTUALLY “DRIVING” IT, OR FOR THAT MATTER, SPENDING A LAZY AFTERNOON AT A LOCAL CAR SHOW,PUT THIS CAR IN YOUR GARAGE BEFORE I CHANGE MY MIND ABOUT SELLING IT. ( I’ve run across another car that has kinda caught my attention and I have improper supervision). AS STATED PRIOR THE CONDITION AND LOOKS OF THIS CAR IS “VERY” NICE. IT IS A RUST FREE, VERY SOLID CAR WITH PAINT THAT FROM 5 FEET LOOKS DAMN GOOD. IT IS NOT A PAMPERED TRAILER QUEEN, BUT HAS BEEN VERY WELL TAKEN CARE OF. IF SOMEDAY YOUR DESIRE WAS TO TAKE IT APART AND MAKE IT PERFECT, THIS IS WHAT YOU WOULD WANT TO START WITH. YOU DON’T NEED TOO. IT HAS RECEIVED MANY TROPHYS AND PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS JUST THE WAY IT IS. THE GLASS IS ALL ORIGINAL TO THE CAR. THERE IS VERY LITTLE THAT WOULD NEED TO BE DONE MECHANICALLY OR BODY WISE. ASIDE FROM THE VISUAL, THE WEBBERS ALONG WITH THE SIDE EXHAUST PUTS OUT A SOUND THAT IS MUSIC TO A CAR NUTS EARS. VERY CIVIL IN A NICE STEADY CRUISE,BUT PUT THIS THING OVER 3 GRAND AND HOLD ON. IT HAS BEEN KNOW TO GET ATTENTION. NO TICKETS, JUST PULLED OVER SO THE COPS CAN LOOK AT IT. SERIOUSLY. I’VE LISTED ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW. I’M SURE THERE IS A FEATURE I WILL HAVE FORGOTTEN TO LIST, BUT ANY QUESTIONS, JUST ASK. THIS CAR HAS A CLEAN TITLE IN MY NAME………..YOUR WILL HAVE FUN WITH THIS CAR. I GUARANTEE IT.

I have run at Waterford with Mike a few times. Sorry to see he is selling this - hope he is getting something faster!

Car seems very well sorted with a lot of go fast goodies on it.
