1964 ½ Mustang Convertible For Sale, Wimbledon White with red interior, 260 V8 2bbl, C4 auto, 99,xxx miles, manual top. This was the 12,078 mustang built on the 13th of April 1964! My Uncle bought this car back in 1978 off a friend because the car didn’t run, so he pushed it into his garage waiting to restore it. Finally in late 2008 I got him started in the project by taking the heads off to have them completely rebuilt. Well, we finally got it done around 2011 just as I was deployed (I’m in the Navy) and his health started to go down after I got back. Well, he passed away a few months ago and his family asked me to find a buyer for the car. I would buy it, but just bought a used GT500 and I only have a one car garage. When we started, someone had swapped a 4 speed into it, we found a C4 out of a later mustang and put it in. Other than that, the block, heads, rearend, etc, should all be original. The interior has been completely redone with a new top ($4,300), engine was honed, cleaned, two cylinders were sleeved, balanced, new pistons, bearings, etc. ($4,400) The body was stripped and any rust was cut out a new metal welded in. So paint and body was ($7,400). All the new wiring and parts ($5,500). Transmission rebuild ($3,400) As you can see he put over $25,000, I think it was more than that but I’m waiting for his daughter to get me the receipts. Remember, this doesn’t even include labor for me and the two years(+) I worked on this. I have a ton of pictures taken at the different stages that I can email. He wanted a nice driver and that is what he got, it’s just too bad he didn’t get to drive it. I know I’m forgetting stuff, so if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Asking $20,000 Thanks. Jason
