Hello Mustang Convertible collectors!
We really need to sell this car to help pay for my daughter's wedding! All reasonable offers will be considered. Here is a link to the current Ebay auction currently under way: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130302125725
The Buy it Now price is $12,500 and the reserve is considerably lower. Please see the description below and please call 831-594-2204 if you have any questions. We would like to end the auction early if at all possible as we are very motivated sellers.

1968 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE
PROJECT
from
MustangBeginnings

If you have ever wanted a 68 Mustang Convertible project that was affordable, and easy to restore, This is the car! This is an original V-8 car, with 5 lug suspension both front and rear. The 302 engine runs and just needs a transmission bolted up to it. We would recommend using either a C-4 automatic or a T-5 manual transmission if you want to be able to spin the tires easily. Call us if you need a transmission, no problem we have both kinds, and both are available separately at very reasonable prices.

THERE IS NO RUST REPAIR NEEDED ON THIS CONVERTIBLE. All the hard work has been done. New floor pans, new rocker channels, and everything was done right. In addition, we did the body work and the car has been painted to its original Presidential Blue color. Really strikingly beautiful

The original top was black, however it looks good with its current blue top. Also, it is a power top and all the pieces are there, but it will need some restoration to have it functioning properly again. Originally equipped with a C-4 automatic transmission, and AM Radio, this convertible was beautiful. It brought buyers into the showrooms by the thousands and Ford’s strategy worked—selling more Mustangs than ever before.

When fully restored, this car will easily sell for $40,000 or more.

BODY:
The frame of this Convertible is in great condition and straight, and the floor pans, torque boxes, and frame rails are excellent. This is not one of those convertible bodies that looks good from 10 feet but is full of rot. This convertible is the one you want because it has a great frame and body that will last for another 40 years.

Overall this Mustang is a great candidate for a concourse restoration.

INTERIOR:
The interior will need a little work, but not much, and it is really the easiest part of the restoration. The good news is that you can see what is needed. You aren’t accepting someone else’s mistakes or bad repairs.

The glove box will come with the car.

Both front buckets and rear seats are in good condition. The dash pad is in good condition, but you may want a new one if you are going for concourse condition.

ENGINE BAY:
Engine bay is in great condition. The 302 runs, but we haven’t driven it, since it doesn’t have a transmission currently. We can supply any combination or engine/transmission desired. Please contact us separately for pricing.

BRAKE SYSTEM:
The mustang has front and rear drum brakes. They are intact and complete. If you would rather have front disk brakes, we can add those for $1,000.

GLASS:
The convertible will come with good door glass and side window glass.
