I shift it around 6k. I tried launching it when I footbrake but it didn't seem as strong. I made peak power on the dyno at 5800.

I put the yellow lakewoods on because they are so easy to remove and paint if I want but they are vintage looking in yellow to match my 14'' cragers, etc...

I did find out that I have had a blown head gasket and I had it when I raced. I am not sure how much that affects performance but I have had a slight miss in the car the past several months and it runs hot on the highway. Once I get that fixed I am considering a good dyno tune where they can play with jets and timing. Then I figure if I can hit 8.90 with these 235/60/14 BFG's I could see mid 8's or better with slicks and good driving.

ALso, a 3000 converter wouldn't hurt but since I run such high rpm on the highway it might cause things to run hot again...
