Alert Acceleration Hesitation

A while back I posted about a '68 that had an intermittent miss. Had changed out almost the entire ignition system with no luck so decided to rebuild the Ford 2 barrel carb just to eliminate it from the equation. Well …. That was it! Now I have a hesitation when accelerating from a stop. I'm going to fool around with the accelerator pump but is there anything else? Checked the timing and it is on at 6 degrees. Engine is totally stock. I'm also picking up the vacuum from the port in the back of the carb and not from the manifold.
