Welcome to the VMF!
I've always had a soft spot for Galaxies - my dad worked at the Oakville plant for a summer and saw the '62 (or was it '63) pre-prod models when they were coming down the line. Some of the prettiest cars he's ever seen, he still talks about them. His mother drove a 66 4 door Galaxie (289 2v, C4) that I remember well.
As said above, this being a Mustang forum, not all info will be directly applicable, but the big Galaxies are still Fords, and any correct tips are better than none. And you'll never find a more helpful bunch of guys (and gals) on the web when it comes to Mustangs and related Fords.
