Are yours abs plastic, or fiberglass?

You need to install the metal piece on the car, line up the fiberglass piece so it is almost flush with the windlace molding on the front edge, and near flush to the inside of the boot stowage area. Then, drill holes on the tabs and screw them together. A few trigger clamps will help a lot.
