I noticed Autopower likes to stick the rear hoop braces to the rear inner fenders. Essentially using flimsy sheetmetal as a bar support. That seems the norm with most four-point bars.
Not for me. I used my kit's "door bars" as rear supports and ran them all the way back to the rear frame rails. The hoop sits on plates welded to the rocker panels. Plus I have hoop inner supports that go through the rear floor and are welded to custom built subframe connectors. At no point are my bars secured solely to a piece of sheetmetal nor are they bolted anywhere. The best design? Hardly, lots of actual race cars have lots better bars. But I feel pretty good about mine.
