I hope you enjoy your new life here. I live in Asheville, a couple hours west of Winston-Salem. Have relatives in the area though. It's not a bad area, lots to do. Sporting events, outdoor activities. You've got the beach to the east and the Smoky Mountains to the west (These will seem more like hills to you since you are used to Mt Hood and Mt St. Helens, but at least they won't blow up
). You're also in the middle of NASCAR country if you're into that. There's a pretty good car scene here if you search around a little.
Are you bringing your '66? Maybe we'll meet up when you get here and check out each other's cars.
