I have an original 8k tach in a box somewhere...the way i understand it is the 8k's say FORD on them and went into any HiPo cars. Ther reason for the 8K is that the std 289 red lined around 4800, the 289/271 red lined at 6500 or so. That said, my 65 modified C-code will be running the 8K one i have...maybe.
