The chrome behind the doors with the three fingers was as far as I know, an option in 65 and standard in 66 along with the gauges and a couple other things found on the 65 GT, but stock on the 66. I think the delete of the chrome was an option on the 66 just like the radio delete and other things that could be deleted.

Ordering a car back then was very different than it is now. It was almost like customizing a car. Now you have packages to choose from, but then you could buy a package or do it alacarte.
