Were there and 66 Mustangs that were produced without the side trim? It looks like a 64 to me, but I want to ask. It does have a 66 grill.

64, 65, and 66 Mustangs could be ordered with the "accent stripe", which was a painted-on line 3/32" wide, 1/8" from the large sculpted C on the side of the car. When this stripe was ordered, the fake chrome side scoop was deleted. The stripe color was contrasted to the body color, black or white, with dark cars getting white, and light cars getting black. Any 64-66 Mustang could be ordered with this. The accent stripe was part of the 66 Sprint package.
