pcv is def better for the environment, and in some cases better for your engine's seals...
that said, i prefer venting to atmosphere in a performance vehicle. I've seen how much can be accumulated in a catch can in a short amount of time when pushing a car hard, and I don't like the idea of it both coating the inside of the intake and also mixing with the air/fuel charge potentially changing the way it burns. could be no merit to my concerns, but that's my take on it.
