Me too. I found a deal on a Buick Rendezvous. I've found that everything I see that I cal ugly, SWMBO calls cute. I had her look at it and that was it. She loves it. Sister in law liked it so much she bought it's stepbrother, an Aztec.
My deal on the Buick was that I've seen the drivetrains commonly last well beyind 200K miles, they're basically Chevy Luminas underneath.
What is it? Looks sort of SUV, sort of mini-van, sort of wagon. It always amuses me to look up parts for it and see it listed under "Buick truck". I know what it is, it's a ugly hump-backed whale of a wagon. Seats seven, hauls bunches of kids, groceries, all what SWMBO needs. I don't like it, don't like to look at, or drive it. It works though. Drives pretty nice if underpowered and top heavy.
SWMBO caught on to my scheme of ducking driving her car/truck thing. We usually go "to town" on saturdays. I kept saying I had to pick up some fence posts, 2x4's, or something obnoxious for an excuse to take my truck. I LIKE to to drive my truck, EFI 351 Windsor goodness. Now I'm scheming on the nice weather being a good reason to take the motorcycle instead. We'll see how long I can get away with that one.
