Bearings

Finished up the back brakes about a month ago where I changed the hardware, wheel cylinders, lines, shoes and visually checked the rear axle seals. No leaks. Backed the car out to o for a drive on Saturday when we had a 60 degree day to find a puddle of gear oil under the left tire. So much for the drive.

Looks like I need a new seal. Decided that while I'm taking things apart, I would change the fluid, seals and bearings. Been a long time since I bought seals and bearings.

Checking the websites, I'm finding Timken bearings, NAPA has two in their listing and also their brand of seals. I also found Felpro seals. Any thoughts on brands? I know that there are many parts imported today and it has been a while since I bought these parts.

Btw, this is a 65 6 cyl and guessing that the bearings are original. Like to get another 48 years out of this set.
