After almost four years here, it's about time I started the build thread for my 69 302 fastback. The car was purchased in my second year of University and I have been working on it during breaks and whenever I have had free time. The goal of this project is to restomod the car in terms of restoring what was left of the body and modernizing things like the cooling and electrical systems for reliability. There was quite a bit of rust when I started work on the car, and even more was unearthed when the car was soda blasted. Almost every panel on the car has had major rust repair done or has been replaced entirely. The previous owner had done a few modifications, most of which I had to undo. The floor pan was replaced (ended up having to re-weld), the transmission swapped to a 4 speed toploader. The carb and intake setup that was originally on the car was replaced for increased driveability on the street.
I hope to have the car ready for the Woodward Dream Cruise this summer, so if you see me there let me know!
