Ford Better Idea Light Bulb License Plate

I am looking for a really good original/embossed Ford light bulb "Better Idea" vanity-style front license plate like the image posted, and am having a hard time finding one. This will be used at car shows, etc., and I realize I could have one reproduced without the embossed letters, but would prefer an original one if available. I know there are not that many of them out there anymore, but think they are a nice added touch to these cars, and you don't see them very often at all. I would take a couple if I could find them, and please PM me if you have one you would be interested in selling.

They probably stopped making those shortly after they introduced the Pinto.

(It's a cool plate though, hope you can find one.)

68 FB 302GT in progress, really.

Ford's "Better Idea" Light Bulb..Promo was started in possibly Very Late '67 or Early 1968 and continued on for a couple years.. so having the plate on a Pre-'68 Car would not really be correct and not look right most likely...

Cool license plate though! Would be a great one to Repro!

Thanks for the humor, and love the Pinto comment. I am still laughing at that one, and couldn't agree with you more.

I totally agree it wouldn't look right on my '66, but figured it would be right at home on on of my '69 Mach 1's. From what I could see, those were right in the middle of this ad campaign.

My former brother-in-law used to tell me, "Ford might have a better idea, but Chevy makes a better car." My response was, "You mean like the Vega?"

I haven't seen one for awhile now. You'd see them occasionally at the Knottsberry
Farm Ford shows. I'm sure one will pop up on eBay eventually.
I'll bet one of the "rare/exotic Ford parts" guys probably has one for sale.
Naming no names but one that comes to mind has stuff like NOS B429 air
cleaner wing nut..... $500

I was really thinking one would pop up on eBay too, and set up a saved search several months ago to alert me if one was listed. I also kept checking myself from time to time. I haven't seen anything at all, so figured I would post something here.

If anyone runs across this, I am still looking for one, and they seem to be kind of hard to find.
