To the best of my knowledge, there were no 70 D0AE 4 bolt blocks. They were all 2 bolt. However, if you have a set of the 4 bolt main caps, all 2 bolt blocks can be machined to accept the 4 bolt caps.

70mach1 is correct. 4-bolt blocks were introduced with the 351CJ (Q-code) in May of '71.
There's no real strength gain with the 4-bolt block, as it is identical to a 2-bolt. Installing a set of ARP main studs would be the way I would go for more strength in the main bearing area.

I have a 351C 2 bolt main bare block
.030 over, casting # D2
miked the bores and just barely worn, same with taper, barely noticeable.
Removed this engine to install a 4 bolt block.
Could hone & build, needs degreasing, etc.
