Remote Toggle Needed

I have a 66 GT with a drivers side remote mirror. I am looking for a remote mirror toggle, mine was removed at a cruise-in. I have tried all the parts houses, none to be had, bought two on eBay, with promises of "correct style", only to find they are not the same. The part I need is about 1 inch in length, and threaded for removal from the housing. Looks like my only alternative is to use a threaded screw (see pic), or a complete new mirror. One last try...................
