Did 70's come with steel styed? I thought they were magnums or dog dish with trim rings, aside from the hubcaps.

70 came with a styled steel wheel like he stated, either a 14 x 6 or 14 x 7 and looked like a Chevy ralley wheel, only they used a 68-69 styled steel wheel cap. They used a trim ring that has about a 1/4 vertical lip on the inside of the lip. I have both styles of wheels and trim rings in my collection. Check out the Mustang guides or the 70 sales liturature and you will see it listed.

Jim, I see it in the Mustang guide. Looked like a hubcap to me. Are the trim rings the same on the those wheels as the dog dish with trim ring wheels?

Trim rings, not positive because the I have never found a paper sticker with the p/n on it that I could read. I'm only guessing that as long as it is a 6 inch rim on a 70-73Mustang, Cougar, Torino or Maverick I think they are the same. Somebody might have more info on the rim with but it seems like the 351 and smaller engines got a 6 inch and maybe the 428 or handling packages got the 7 inch.
The hubcap is a C8O p/n which is stenciled on the inside of the cap.
