Look at Craigslist in your area. They are selling 1406's (Eddy's) for $50-$150. A $40 rebuild kit, easy to do, your on your way.

Good advice above. I just picked up a brand new Edelbrock 600 manual choke carb. and brand new Performer intake for 250.00 together. Still in the plastic and in the boxes.

Trouble is that no one wants to get flamed after sending a carb half way across whatever and then open to getting critizised for it not performing up to specs for the bargin price he sold it for. wes
