How much should I be looking at if I send my seatbelts to Ssnake-Oyl to have the redone. I would consider them to be average condition with no broken parts or frayed belts. I don't want to ship them there only to be shocked by the cost.

How much extra do you think they charged for the core charge? Do you think I would be in the $350 range with cores?
BTW, it is for a 1970 Mach I.

my 1970 mach1 cost around $900 for a full concourse restoration at ssnakeoyl. by the way i need to pick your brain about your convertible, i am restoring a 69 and have a wiring issue. can i call you? thanks montie northwest of houston texas.
I'm kinda surprised that no one has mentioned Dallas Mustang. My seatbelts are currently there being redone as we speak. They quoted me before I ever sent them that it would be around $300. He was suppose to draw up a more specific estimate since he received them but I have still yet to get that call. If you want I will let you know what the final charge is and how they look when they return.

I had my 64 1/2 deluxe seatbelts redone by Ssnake-Oyl. Worth the premium price. I am VERY pleased. Would not try anyone else...even for 20-30% less. This is my car. My baby. I will never risk disappointment with it.
If you want I will let you know what the final charge is and how they look when they return.
I would be very interested in the quality and final price. Thank you!

When I was initially considering seatbelt restoration I was looking at Ssnake-oyl as well but there were people on here who told me that Dallas Mustang was cheaper and quality was just as good. I should be getting mine back this week or next week.
P.S. You will probably get more people that had their belts done at Dallas Mustang if you posted this in the Vintage Mustang forum. Speaking for myself, I never venture to the Concours forum because my car is not concours correct. The only way I saw this thread was because of the "Recent Topics" list in the left margin.

Might be (have not seen them mentioned on any forum) that no one has used them or is aware that they offer the service.
Do they do them in house or ship them out to one of the better known shops?
I had mine done at Dallas Mustang for the 65 fastback. They had horrible communication and I did not get some parts shipped back. The sub stuff out and the stitching is NOT concourse. Took 3 times longer then they said it would. They are cheaper then the other two places granted. The plating did look good. Overall they were just OK. I was not wowed.
Summing it up. If it is for a nice driver or a “local” show car and you want original belts with new webbing and are not in a hurry, go for it. If it is for a concourse show car, I would pass.
