Default Package Tray and Speaker Grill color

Does anyone know what color the package tray and speaker grill should be in a 65 coupe? My car has a standard interior, white with black appointments. The package tray I took out was white (same color as seats), but I have read so many conflicting posts concerning this that I am not sure it was correct. I am adding a rear speaker and am also not sure what color the grill should be to be correct.

The Pagoda Green 64.5 my dad had was white with black appointments. The tray was painted the same color white as the doors, dash and interior quarter panals. The only "items" that were black in the interior scheme of the car was the carpet and dash pad.

The grille should be white to match the package tray.

Thanks for the input! From what I have read, it is rough side up on the masonite? Is that accurate?

Yes, and congratulations on paying the few extra bucks to get the original style. The smooth cardboard ones I see so much at shows make me cringe. Don't forget the jute soundproofing that goes under the tray.

That sound proofing is a must! Those things rattle like crazy without it, plus anything to cut down the road noise in my car would help. I am hoping that it will be quieter when I am done, A lot of that stuff was missing when I started tearing it apart so I am going to add as much as I can.
