I have a complete 1966 289 engine and automatic transmission for sale. It is 100% complete and looks like it's never been apart. 6 bolt bellhousing, distributor, carb and generator are all included.

Tags are still on the engine.

$150 ~ Pick up only in Troy, Mi.

Gary

Both the Tags and block casting numbers indicate this is a July 65 assembled engine and trans, meant to go into a 1966 Vehicle, as indicated by the original tag.

The oil is very clean and there are new points, condensor and cap on the distributor.

I am selling the complete engine and transmission assembly for the cost of just a bare block.

Too far away to work for me but a 6 bolt block with a generator? Thought generators were gone by the time the true 65s came out. Seems like the block would be correct but I can't imagine why someone would go back to a generator. Just seems odd. Do you have the vin # from the car? It was a mustang right?
