We DVR everything. I rewound that scene so many times.

Since we're talking about it... from what I understand this is a group that just follows people around and waits until they die or their back is turned to steal stuff. It sounds like they avoid fights and confrontations at all costs? They waited "long time" for someone to have the balls to get the guns out of the boat. Really? Rick might want to rethink wanting this group to fight a bunch of hardened bad asses like the Saviors

My wife says I read into this show too much. On season two they were walking through a neighborhood (supposedly quite a while after everything started) and all the lawns were mowed I guess even zombies want a nice lawn.

AND.

In the plot of this show they can't find GUNS! LOL.
I have read that at least 44% of american homes have a fire arm.
For every 10 houses you search 4.4% should have a fire arm.

Who writes this tv show? It should be harder for the characters to find clean, drinkable water than guns. LOL.
I know it is just a dumb tv show, but it is getting dumber. LOL.
I would imagine the percentage would be higher in Georgia. Not to mention there are 7 military bases there. And they left a frickin tank at the prison.

When I hear East Bound and Down play, I can't get it out of my head for two days. A great song!

If I'm understanding correctly, they've been in Alexandria, VA the past couple of seasons, which is only like 10-15 miles from Washington DC, which is where they were headed when the mullet guy pretended to be a genius

And even though Carl has aged like 5 years, supposedly we're only into the late 2nd year/early 3rd year of the apocalypse at the moment.

Really. 6 years after an apocalypse people decide to forget how to speak English and create a completely new dialect? Non-sense.

It would have been cooler if Daryl would have found a running 78 Trans-am in the trailer.

This is how the zombie apocalypse would work in those blue states.

It would not even be the same show, if a red state person wrote it. LOL.

The show would be called target practice during the zombie vacation. LOL.
According the The Walking Dead Wiki, it's only been about 2 years since everything started. So everything is going downhill fast.

But Rick and his group aren't the only ones scavenging, so most places have been picked clean. the tank would be nice, but not exactly quiet, so if you want to draw a crowd of walkers to play with, fire that puppy up and drive it around.

Dang it, I can't edit my post anymore. It's somewhere around day +/-630, which is +/-1.75 years after the start, not 2 going on 3... my lysdexia got me again...

My wife and I started binge watching it about 2 years ago and got sucked in. After about season 4, I was like, OK, how freakin' long has it been? There is no way gas is still good in a fuel injected car after this long... that's when I looked up a timeline, and was like, oh... that's it?

The zombies have no need for air (they can survive underwater), apparently have no real way of digesting food (see zombies that continue to live without lower extremities, and really don't appear to need an outside source of energy), and don't decompose. And this is your biggest complaint?

Ive tried so hard to like the show, i just can't. I think with just a bit of realism (looking past the zombies) it could be great.

Wife and I are still watching, barely hanging on though.

The show we are hooked on is Shameless. Great show. We started with season 1 6 months ago and are watching season 7 now. I think that is about 80 episodes or so, there have been very few where we haven't looked at each other and went WTF!!

No way is that Arlington, VA. Anacostia, Andrews, and Belvoir are all within a day or two's walk of Arlington. Of course you'd be walking through suburbs the whole time.

That's a valid point. Looking at google maps that entire huge area is like 95% developed, yet they're somehow isolated and out in the woods most of the time

It looks like it's suburbia for miles and miles and miles...

Yes, but we're commenting on how the "area" they're supposed to be in is a huge sprawling suburban metropolis, yet, they're always out in the woods

That's one thing my wife always comments on is how much clothing most of the characters wear throughout the show and they typically film in the hot months in GA.

They do decompose. If you look at the early episodes most of the zombies look pretty fresh, but the ones they run into now are definitely more decayed. That's a point that the showrunners and producers have mentioned a few times. Whatever the infection is keeps the brain functioning at basal levels. And they do consume food, cuz they'll attack something living and munch the hell out of it. Don't know about their digestive capabilities tho, but since that's a parasympathetic process, I'm guessing it should still be functioning. So based on their need to feed off the living, it would seem that they do have some need for an energy source. Just speculating, but I'm guessing that the ones in the worst shape are the ones that haven't fed much, cuz the body will cannibalize itself to maintain basic metabolic functions. Would be interesting questions to pose to the creators.
