This thread is so disappointing. I thought "trailer" meant "movie trailer," as in a preview to a new Smokey and the Bandit movie... Doh!

Then again, nothing will ever beat the original.

Formula for a daily driver street fighter in Los Angeles:

+ 3pts + 2nd Skin + MTF grille/lights + LEDs + SiriusXM

MTF Grille/Light Kit Install w/ Pics... & Engine Bay Pics...

I also thought it was a trailer for a new Bandit movie....bummer.
My favorite was Jackie Gleason as Sherriff Buford T Justice.
I was reminescing about The Bandit movies and just saw a Spaghetti Western movie with Burt for the first time.
Navajo Joe, the worst western ever made!
I mean Burt in a wig?
Not the way I wanted to remember him.
Wow!

Burt's worn a rug since Deliverance. It came out during his bankruptcy in the mid 90's that he was spending tens of thousands on toupees.

Yeah, but that wig in Navajo Joe was just super silly.
I've lost a lot of things in my lifetime, I'm grateful to still have a full head of hair.

if Hollywood remade:
Morgan Freeman as Snowman
George Clooney as the Bandit
Bruce Jenner in a stupid-*** wig as Frog
Vincent D'Onofrio as Buford
Kevin James as Big Enos
Mike Golic as Junior
Little Enos would be written out of the script because midgets aren't PC
Max von Sydow as Mr. B
"Whichever lipsynching tart is popular that minute" as Hot Pants.

1)Morgan Freeman wins an Oscar for his portrayal of Sandman.
2)CNN applauds Bruce Jenner as "so courageous."
3)Jenner kills 3 people with his Mercedes on the way to accept the "So Courageous" award.
4)Police refuse to arrest him for fear that Millenials will riot.

80 Muscort- "Wifebeater" (sorry if it offends. I didn't name it)
06 V6 Premium - "Hidalgo" (R.I.P. )
67 C-code Fastback - "Tombstone"

My Mustangs don't get chick names. They get horse names.
When Hugh Hefner dies, will anyone actually believe the ubiquitous eulogy statement: "Well, at least he's in a better place"

Boy has Burt Reynolds made some BAD movies. I once heard a stand up comedian say Burt Reynolds has made so many bad movies that when other actors make bad movies, Burt Reynolds gets royalties.

Years ago I saw a Burt Reynolds movie called "Heat". Boy, did that movie suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck!

But yeah, "Smokey and the Bandit" is a silly movie that's a lot of fun to watch.

Currently working on a 1970 Mach 1 project. See it here: http://forums.vintage-mustang.com/vi...ode-build.html

i lived in the trailer for 2 weeks

I lived in the Smokey and the bandit Semi Trailer for 2 weeks because I didn’t have a place to live at the time in 1988 it was sold to Bill Pozzi at an auction from Universal Studios he was the owner of APOLLO MOVING, INC. On Gothard Street in Huntington Beach California
It still had the same rims and a lot of initials carved into the back door and writing on the door
We moved furniture in it
I used the moving pads as a bed and covers until I could save 2 paychecks to move in with one of my coworkers and his wife who had a roommate moving out
And when people would say that truck looks familiar I would say you ever seen Smokey and the bandit where they ran the beer across ate lines? Well that’s the trailer they used!
It was very cool and I always tried to get that truck in the mornings ………
Out of curiosity I just looked up APOLLO and called them they told me that they are now GREEN moving in Anaheim and they bought them out
I asked if they had also bought the trailer and they said that trailer was gone and I asked if Mr. Pozzi was still alive they told me he had passed away
the reason he named his company APOLLO was:
because it was the 1st mission for a man to the moon
He was also the frogman who hooked up The Apollo capsule with Neil Armstrong after it splashed down he also had another company named Pozzi-Neal-Armstrong Inc
He was something else
When I met, him I needed a job bad and I saw the company as I was walking around Huntington beach so I walked up to him and asked if they were hiring he said yes if you can help me move that pile of dirt to the other side of the yard I’ll give you a job and handed me a shovel
I moved that whole dump truck load of dirt that day determined to get a job
At the end the end of the day he handed me $50 and said your hired
A few days later I saw someone else moving the pile of dirt back to where I had moved it from
I asked the truck driver why was he moving it back to where I had spent all day moving it from?
The truck driver laughed and said that’s his test to see if your tough enough to move furniture all day
Lol and I wound up sleeping in the trailer for 2 weeks until had enough money to split an apartment in garden grove California
That was a lot of fun he treated me very well if I needed anything everyone there was like a family
It is a good memory ……………. I wonder what ever happened to the trailer?

I bought a house from a gentleman in Warrenton VA who owned a trucking company that bought one of the three Kenworth's used in Smokey & The Bandit. It's novelty wasn't all that important at the time, they used it for several years until one of their drivers totaled it. When I saw it in 2001 it was pretty well parted out.

These are two of the ones used in the movie Smokey and the Bandit II. The extra pinstriping and lettering were done in the Kendall area of Miami next door to a place I worked at.

The Everglades gas station shown in Smokey and the Bandit II was on Burt Reynolds property in Jupiter. It got sold to the Palm Beach School District who tore down all the buildings and eventually sold it to a developer. The development is about to open and is called Reynolds Ranch. The main road is to be called Bandit Run.
