Sunnyvale/San Jose

Just touched down in the area for the week. Will be sitting in hotel room while my wife works. Attraction or restaurant ideas welcomed.

Excellent recommendations. Called Mike up and he actually answered the phone. Turns out he just got back into town from th the Lap Around America. Driving up Wednesday to meet him. He said he would arrange for Old Blue and New Blue to be at the shop. What an awesome guy. I'm super excited.

Quite certain that will be the utmost highlight if it pans out. Otherwise, I will be sitting in the hotel room working.

Recommended by a Stangfix member, but I will share here. If ever you find yourself in Sunnyvale and craving extreme authentic Mexican...hell even if you aren't craving it go to Ruby's Taqueria. OMG...mic drop.

Yes I will share pics at Mike's after Wednesday. Really hope that pans out.

Patrick

Mike has been a great supporter of our club (Bay Area Mustang Association) and just a really nice guy. Once you get him going on suspensions, etc. there's no stopping him. LOL

Great America isn't too far from the Sunnyvale area. I had uncles that used to live in Sunnyvale, and would stay with them if I drove down from Chico to hit Great America. They lived close enough that it was walkable.

Take a tour of the Winchester Mystery House. Right there near downtown San Pantyhose'. Visit the Tesla showroom and see a body off frame display.

Nor Cal SAAC is hosting an Open house/Tech Talk at Mike Maier's shop on Saturday, May 20th. Contact me offline if you'd like to attend! Mike is going to be talking about "How to read your tires".

Seen plenty of Tesla roaming the streets here already. So today I met the plant manager of my wife's job. He has a almost 100 point Grabber Orange '70 B2 and a brand new GT350R. He also lives one mile from Mike's place so he is going with me tomorrow and taking me for a spin in the R. Hump Day is shaping up to be pretty special.
