I am looking at a 64 Tbird convertible. I don't know much about them and was wondering if there are certain vin codes that are better than others, interior packages, etc.

The one I am looking at is a 64, vert, I think it is a 390, automatic, both motor and tranny rebuilt. Chrome is off the car, the body is straight and rust free, it has a new top still in the box.

Again, just wondering if this would be a good candidate for my next car. I have really been looking for another big galaxy, or torino convertible. But a tbird would do fine as well. I just don't know anything about them.

Thanks for any input.

Almost forgot, interior is decent, but should probably be redone, paint is okay at best from 20 feet. It will need a repaint for it not to look like an old beat up bird from the 60's, however it is still one color.

'64 is a good year. Nice cars with a great body style. Good places to start are http://vintagethunderbirdclub.org and http://www.tbird.org.
