for sheer torque and ground shaking ability I have to go with '69 or 70.

95 Vette convert LT1 (faster then my ability to drive it)
But Muscle carwise it's a tough choice between 1969 and 1970.
1969: 69 Camaro - even I like the styling
1970: Dodge Challenger & Plymouth 'Cuda
Plus the stuff Fomoco built both years is pretty good.

1964. It began the "muscle car era" with the ultimate, the Pontiac GTO. 1964 was good for all brands; the 426 Hemi was introduced, it was the first full year for Ford's 427, The Chevy 409 reached it's peak at 425 HP. No, 1964 wasn't a flashy, Foosy year with crazy colors, stripes, and wild themes; it was just business. Oh yeah, anyone remember what was introduced mid-year 1964?
For me the question is alittle like, Concours or Restomod, Why Choose I look at each car seperatly and to select a single year would not work. I like Muscle Car's differnt years for differnt car's, might explain why I'm so differnt
