Default Keyless Remote?

I just got a 2006 Mustang on Friday, but it didn't have a keyless remote that came with it. How can I go about finding which frequency or number I would need in order to get a transmitter?

Thanks.

Go to the dealership and give them the VIN.

If you got two chipped keys, you should be able to buy the one for your year/make/model and program it according to the owners manual.

Be prepared to pay BIG bucks for that key blank and the programing!

It doesn't have the chipped keys, so I just need the keyless remote. Any idea on the price of these?

Default Keyless Remote?

Check eBay. I got a couple for my '95 SHO several years ago for pretty cheap.

I just checked and there's lots of ads for these starting at around $8 Buy It Now. Search for 2006 mustang remote.

I hope Ford doesn't try to rape you like Toyota wanted to with my wife's Camry. After she had her purse stolen, they wanted $250 for the key with built in remote and $150 for programming!
