For what its worth, I share your frustration and all I can say for the moment is that if this was a simple problem, it would be fixed by now. I'd rather you not go away and leave us alone. We are about to embark on fixing the PM problems from the migration and, after that, I can dig into the twotoots2 challenge with you again.
Don
Don, my apologies for coming across so harsh. I get frustrated at times (must be the ol bi-polar kicking in, LOL). To be truthful, I didn't realize the scope of the work you have to do until I read some more posts under mine. With a limited amount of time you have with the 60 other forums you have to manage, you DO have your work cut out! Its easy to hop on here once a day and hark and cry and be the squeaky wheel because the response or resolution I expect isn't quick and instantaneous. Now that I understand, I'll leave you to your work. We'll get this all fixed in good time and in good order. I am glad I'm not forgotten, that you are extremely busy trying to get all the issues on your plate fixed. Keep up the good work; people here, my self included, are appreciating the efforts you are making for our benefit. I'm not going away.
Not to rehash this but I myself took a hiatus from the forum when I started law school 2 1/2 years ago. Now that I'm in my 3rd and final year and have more time and my 70 Mach is back from a years worth of paint and body work (or sitting at a shop waiting for it anyways) I came back.
I was also unaware that the forum was sold, but suspected it when I saw all of the changes. Overall, other than a few login problems that seemed to miraculously disappear after sending a few e-mails, I think the overall look of the forum is good. But I also don't think it has the same "family feeling" it had when I was 15 and came here to find tips on restoring my first classic stang.
My big complaint is the amount you have to pay for "premium membership". One of the best things about the forum was the awesome parts section. I can't count the number of parts I have purchased over the years off of fellow VMF members. Now the parts section, for lack of a more articulate phrase, sucks. As I'm still a grad student and have $120k+ in student loans that are about to come due, $30, $60 and $120 is a big chunk of change for me to shell out to post up some spare parts I have for sale. Not to mention the $30 membership says I will have access to some forums but doesn't elaborate on which ones. Not to mention it's a recurring charge that you charge yearly without me signing up again. I just think $60 is more than a little excessive to post up some parts for sale and that this fact has ruined one of the best parts of VMF.

$5/month I can handle. At least that way I can collect up parts for sale for awhile and post them all at once for $5 as opposed to dropping $30 or $60 (nobody will answer my e-mails or PM's about that) to post stuff for sale for 1 month only to be inactive for the other 11 months. Oh well I guess.

Hey..... What about me? I have a bitch too! First off, I'd like to start out with a big "Thank You" to Bob, for all his time and effort, spent towards VMF. I admit I was off-line at the time of this transition, and really didn't understand the problems, with the site till reading this thread. I originally thought my issues stemmed from a subscription status. but now it would appear, that may not be the case. I never complained before, when my little Gold bar, did not show up next to my user name...... But now I no longer have one of those either. I used to be known as "Couped Up", but instead, it only shows me by my contact info. name? I wouldn't mind getting a subscription, but it says that election is going to be automatically renewed annually, and automatically deducted from my PayPal account? Is it just me? or does that seem like "Card Blanc", to my bank account? Is this truly the only means to a subscription? And what happened to my Identity?
Your'e all acting like some old broad who's husband left her for a younger girl...get over it..the forum is still quite good and most of all the old friends are still here..and that keeps me happy
