The Prius IS on the list, number 32. Surprised me as well, not because it's not ugly (it is), but because I thought it would have been terribly politically incorrect to have it on the list.

My dad drove a car that deserved to be on this list, more than some of the cars that did make the list!

Here's one that should have been on the list. It was a 1991 Pontiac Lemans. What a pile. It was made by Renault. I think it was just a rebadged LeCar. I drove one once that was a rental. On a cold winter morning the shift interlock was stuck. I had to pull up the console and manual release the shifter until the car warmed up. Same deal every morning for the week I had it.

It would help if the author stopped to think of the double-entendres of a few of these cars.
Take the Nissan S Cargo. If you say it as the French would, the round windows suddenly become a sensible styling cue.

tall curved roof, bizarre rear cargo hold, and windows shaped like pizza slices make this vehicle stunningly strange. The large body looks even more misshapen sitting on its tiny wheels, and for proportion's sake, the headlights could use a bit more space between them. And what's with the circular rear windows?

Toilet Paper Cruiser is a definite for the list. Any Chevelle, Pontiac GTO, Anything made by Pontiac, save a few select TAs.
I was also happy to see the Element on the list. When they first came out, I saw revelers at the auto show checking one out. So ugly. I remember being pretty vocal about how ugly it was and ruffling some feathers.
Prius...I'm not even going to say it.

Prius is # 32--deservedly so.

The writer is obviously not the magazine's automotive authority. I Googled the author and the first listing came back to a hairdresser. That could explain everything.
