Default Wow haha REALLY?!

Ha I am shocked... well sort of...

I got hurt and have been out of commission (conveniently off during beerfest in the village hahah girls on crutches get lots of free beer! fyi) and on crutches & have been for the last 3 weeks. I was dying doing nada at home so I went back to work basically after the first and half.

So I was on the front drive today at work covering while all my valets/doors/bells were assisting other guests when a man in a pretty hot new little aston martin vanquish s pulls up. I just so happen to be talking to guest at the time of his arrival and I am on the far end of the drive. The guy in the Aston Martin, is being assisted by the bellmen with his luggage. Bell leaves for the bell closet and the man is just standing on the drive while his vehicle is parked.

The guest I am talking with departs and I am standing out there waiting for the valet to return to the drive. The guy is just standing in front of the entrance staring blankly... I am thinking what is this guy doing. He is standing there for like a good solid 3 or 4 mins. Then he turns his head around to look at me (ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DRIVE a good 20-30 feet away) and clears his throat.

I immediately ask him if I could assist him with anything this evening and he says (hahah i can't believe this)

"Yes. I am waiting for you to open the door"

(sdfhdjh! hahah Serious?! I can barely open those bohemith glass doors on my own WITHOUT crutches)

I am really not sure what to say and I was hoping he would laugh or something and just open the door but he looked pretty serious so I say "Certainly" I crutch all the way to the entrance put one crutch down and pull open the door.

He says "ya Thanks.."

Hahah I say "My pleasure"

hahah seriously?! did that just happen??

ha ya.. it did.

(note to self: dont date aston martin drivers)

Seems very obvious to me this gentleman has never been to Michigan--some redneck would have throat punched him years ago

Wow - how very UN-James Bond-like of him.

On the other hand you have got to give the arrogant butthead credit for his taste. Astons are one of the most sexiest cars on the road. Did it look like this?

What an jerk! I think you know where you could've put that crutch.

Money does not a gentleman make. I would have positioned that crutch so he tripped over it going through the door. Amazing.

Wish I'd been there. I would have slammed the door right into him. What an A-hole.

What a waste of life. If you are able-bodied (and I am assuming he is since he rolled in with an Aston Martin, got out, and stood on the curb) and cannot open your own door, then someone should beat you unmercifully with a crutch.

In my late teen's, early 20's, I had a job parking cars and dealing with some very well to do people. I was regularly in Bentley's, Lambo's, Ferrari's, and thousands of BMW's and Mercedes. The one car I can think of that I never got to drive was an Aston. What I loved about this job is that we really didn't need any of their business, so I could handle the rude and snotty as I saw fit. People like the one you are describing regularly got told of and told what they could go do to themselves. I had loads of fun at this job, and still remember it fondly. Unfortunately, one day I grew up and realized there are very few jobs out there that will allow you to speak to customers that way. I try to avoid dealing with that kind of person at work as much as possible now, for fear of reverting back to the days where I enjoyed getting them so pissed they complained to my bosses.

What I do try to do to people like that is embarrass them, if possible. I would have asked him to hold my crutches while I got the door. Most likely his head is too far up his own ***** to have caught it, but sometimes they realize and get a little red.

Just imagine the bathroom attendant. I can only imagine what he would expect them to do.
