Default Everywhere you go, China Crap

Planning to do some upgrades to my car trailer. Want to add on a couple tie downs and upgrade to LED lighting. Wanted some good USA made tie downs to strap my all American classic mustang down and all I can find is China made crap.

It is getting extremely difficult to find goods that are actually made in the US. The best most can claim is assembled in the US with foreign parts.

My wife and I are always looking for stuff Made in USA.
We have only bought stuff if it was made here for the
last few years. It can be a real workout to locate some
items and some products are unobtainium.

Try here and other places like that. Your search might
be quite time-consuming or you may luck out.

John Smith started the day early, having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 am. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG), and put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA), he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO), to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA), he got in his car (MADE IN JAPAN), filled it with GAS (from SAUDIA ARABIA) to continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB. At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (made in MALAYSIA), John decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL), poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in AMERICA. And now he is hoping he can get help from the president (MADE IN KENYA)?
Nice website. Bashing the president for the color of his skin...

I was talking with my friend that's doing the welding on my trailer today and I brought up the fact that the torque thrust wheels we all love are being made in China but the price of them didn't come down now that they're using cheap labor. He said that the China company that had bought American Racing, Cragar and Weld. I guess it's time to buy from Scott Drake, Specialty Wheel, Wheel Vintiques and so on. I guarantee the next set of wheels will be made here and that's all there is to it. I'll pay a few bucks more no matter what. I hope others will do the same.

If we all did this just for some of the stuff we buy it would make a big difference.

This came up on Facebook today. It mentions foods, but I'm sure it applies to other items....interesting!

ALWAYS READ THE LABELS ON THE FOODS YOU BUY--NO MATTER WHAT THE FRONT OF THE BOX... OR PACKAGE SAYS, TURN IT OVER AND READ THE BACK---CAREFULLY!

With all the food and pet products now coming from China , it is best to make sure you read label at the grocery store and especially Walmart when buying food products.

Many products no longer show where they were made, only give where the distributor is located.
It is important to read the bar code to track it's origin.
How to read Bar Codes .... interesting!
This may be useful to know when grocery shopping, if it's a concern to you.
GREAT WAY TO "BUY USA & CANADA " AND NOT FROM CHINA!!

The whole world is concerned about China-made "black hearted goods".
Can you differentiate which one is made in Taiwan or China ?

If the first 3 digits of the barcode are 690 691 or 692, the product is MADE IN CHINA.
471 is Made in Taiwan .
This is our right to know, but the government and related departments never educate the
public, therefore we have to RESCUE ourselves.

Nowadays, Chinese businessmen know that consumers do not prefer products "MADE IN CHINA ", so they don't show from which country it is made.

However, you may now refer to the barcode - remember if the first 3 digits are:

690-692 ... then it is MADE IN CHINA
00 - 09 ... USA & CANADA
30 - 37 FRANCE
40 - 44 GERMANY
471 ... Taiwan
49 ... JAPAN
50 ... UK

BUY USA & CANADIAN MADE by watching for "0" at the beginning of the number.
We need every boost we can get! Pass this on to everybody on your E-Mail Contact List!!

If the government won't help us, we MUST help ourselves.

Amen

Now I know only buy items that begin with 0 on the barcode. I think if the 70s gas crisis didn't happen tamerica would be alot different but what do I know I wasn't born in that era.
