I remember bringing my dream car home. I spent more than 3 years looking for the right 1969 sportsroof. One I could afford, in restorable condition. I researched and waited, every week looking through the want adds. I almost settled for different muscle cars or different year mustangs, but was persuaded to wait and save my money. I always wanted this car. My dream started years ago when my younger brother bought a 1970 coupe. I found my 69 in Cincinnati, Ohio. On the way home we drove right by the Ford Dearborn Plant that it was born in, all those years ago. I layed on the horn to salute them as we passed by the factory. This horse was comming home to Detroit and would begin a new chapter in it's life.
Everyone on this forum should take a vacation in August. Come to the Mustang Memories Car Show at the Ford Dearborn World Head Quarters, and stay for the WOODWARD DREAMCRUISE! These 2 event's are a must for Mustang Fans.

All the Mustangs I have owned have come from there.

That's where Ruby was born as well. Someone posted some old San Jose factory pics on here the other day. It would be cool if someone could find some similar old pic of the Metuchen plant.

Sad progress ?

I was there about a year ago and took more pics but cant find them. Not much, nothing of the original plant was left just what you see here. New construction probably going to be a Walmart or some strip mall...sad.
