Default Anyone have a robot vacuum cleaner?

My wife is thinking about buying one, but I'm guessing it wouldn't work as advertised.

Anyone have one, and what do you think about it?

I would love to have one with a turbo! You know Tim Taylor style...lol. That thing would be awesome to sneak up on sleeping putty tats.
Actually my wife knows a lady with one and says it doesn't do a very good job.

It's certainly interesting.

There's a wealth of reviews on amazon

Amazon.com: Infinuvo QQ-1 CleanMate 365-Intelligent Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, Red: Home & Kitchen Amazon.com: Infinuvo QQ-1 CleanMate 365-Intelligent Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, Red: Home & Kitchen

Although their website is a 404 error.

I had a Roomba a couple of years ago and although it was cool for a short time, it could not keep up with my Goldie's shedding nor the junk my kid/dog leaves all over the carpet. Perhaps it would work well in a pristine yuppy apartment but not the real world.

Also, due to the dog, I had to clean it waaayy too often.

I had once. It was the WIFE model...only worked when it wanted to no matter how many times I kicked it. "Thank God and Greyhound She's Gone" thanks Roy.

I've got a iRobot Roomba 780. It's badass. Picks up the cat hair without issue. And as a plus, it irritates the crap out of the little buggers. I need to take some video sometime. LOL

They seem pretty slow and I don't see how they can always do a thorough job. Isn't it just easier to grab a vacuum and spend five minutes doing it yourself?

I have a Neato XV-12 and love it. It is scheduled to clean the entire house every other day while I am at work, and it works great. Even does the tile floors and mats. Nothing like coming home to freshly vacuumed house.
