Default "Old Picture" alert

I thought you guys could use a Friday night laugh...........Cleaning out the attic, I found this old picture of myself from back in 1979. Back then I was terrorizing the streets of Detroit in my 70 Super Bee. 440 six pack, hemi 4 speed dana car. I traded it 4 years later for a 68 Shelby and have been hooked on stangs ever since.
Check out the circus sideshow freak driving it. I was such a gearhead dork back then.

Needs current photo to make sure your still not a gearhead dork.

Superbee=BadAss!! I love the old Mopars, and when I started to get back into a resto project 13 years ago, it was a coin toss between my '66 GT Fastback or a '69 Roadrunner. If I had found a Superbee, I'd be a Mopars freak now.

Shackles, air shocks, and ladder bars is what it took to make those N 50's fit under there.

Cool! So, it was a Hemi car that you put a 440 in?

When it comes to the 70' Super Bee, you either love 'em, or you can't stand the front end. I love 'em.
"Hemi" 4 speed it said, meaning the same four speed tran you'd get if you ordered a Hemi engine.

My story: I used to work at the Chicago Chrysler pre-delivery center in south Chicago. Late in the year, like July 1970, 10 70 Super Bees all optioned the same exact way came in. Each one was yellow with a black vinyl top, road wheels, bucket seats, 440 six pack, track pack (Dana rear end). Funny thing, they all had 383 emblems on the fenders. I never did find out why Dodge built them that way. What a great job. If I didn't find my Shelby, I know I'd have some kind of Dodge/Plymouth muscle car.

Remember those days well, although in '76 I bought my '72 454 Vert so I didn't see too many Mopar taillights.....
