Default Break out the snow removal toys, cover the Stangs.

What does everyone use for their snow removal?

Here is one of my favorite other toys. I hope we actually get some 18 inch or so snowfalls this year. Mine is a 430 Deere with a Yanmar diesel. I put two sets of wheel weights and chains on yesterday, I m ready to go. It has diff lock, (not posi, lol) and turn brakes. It weights about 2100lbs with me on it. Has a 54 inch power angle plow and power steering. It is a 1985 and has 1100 hours on the clock. It also has 7 gallons of antifreeze in the rear tires. It goes 11mph so snow doesnt have a chance. Blade has down pressure and float which is nice for getting pavement clean after someone runs over the snow.

Down here in NC we just use the sun.- No point in shoveling since it will be gone tomorrow anyway-

Typically u use a liquid for traction- but water will freeze- so antifreeze- For those not aware of this- use extreme caution removing farm tractor tires- they are usually filled also but with a lot more than seven gallons. So at the moment it slips off the lugs you begin to realize this is not a 80lb tire but a 500+ lb tire-

Snow blower. Hopefully here in South Jersey I will not need it again this year.

Yea, just a little at the top to adjust pressure. Seven gallons in each tire. Wheels weight 160 each with rim and tire. I mow steep grades and it really keeps it stable.

Ariens 24" cut walk behind snowblower...fortunately for the 11 neighbors on my block I have winters off and I do all of their driveways and sidewalks while they're at work..even do the street cuz the city doesn't do a good enough job for my tastes...

I have an older 1952 Ford 8N tractor...but no snow down here worth clearing...lol. One thing that has killed people on tractors (among many other dangerous things) is if the rear wheels get frozen to the ground, during extreme ice and cold, when they crank up the tractor and let out the clutch to go forward in gear, the tractor nose just starts climbing until it goes over backwards. Old tractors do not have rops. I have had the front end come up when picking up something too heavy and it definitely makes for a scary moment until the clutch gets pushed in to stop. There are a few pinch marks on my seat...from doing stupid things. Scared the hell out of me too

At first I though it read 18 Ft of snow but no it says 18" , I thought wow they get as much as we do . Yes up where I live our avg is 16ft a yr , we have already received 5" and that was thurs nite , most up our way use trucks or end loaders to move snow , in town it's snow blowers mostly. Even when I lived in Colo I never saw less than 16 - 20 ft of snow each yr.

Thanks. Yea, it has a 60in shaft driven belly mower. I mow an old field with it about 2.2 acres in An hour and 20 minutes. Plow the garden, disk, and cultivate with it. I want a snow blower for it but a good used one is a grand.

I was dragging 16 ft lengths of logs for firewood off the 3pt last week with it and had the frt wheels 18in off the ground, it just floated there and keeped moving. But yea I was a little nervous though.

Cool tractor! I have always wanted one, but I'll settle for my 2 stage snow blower. So far no need tho. End of November in Colorado, and its in the 60s. Damn global warming.....

I use a John Deere 318 with a 48 inch snow blower and a Cozy Cab on it. I have 50# weights on each wheel and chains. As subpar63 mentioned I do the neighbors also. Sure beats a shovel.

1960's vintage Ahrens, 30" walk-behind. It's a savage beast with zero safety implements... you have to be pretty awake at all times.

SchnorrCS: when people find out how into these cars I am, all the sudden they have/had one just like mine, but it was purple and had a hemi, and was a Shelby.
