I remember a couple yrs ago a comparrison was done between top of line Mustang against a corvette. In almost every catagory the mustang equalled. Stopping, road coarse, top end. etc. Only one catagory vet beat it, think top end.
It was summed up best bag for your buck stang vs vet,... Stang wins.
The rear end looks like retro Camaro now. And where the bottom of the door opens looks odd? Not a fan.

I actually like it a lot! Know I'm not supposed to, but I absolutely love the rear end of the new Camaros and the Corvette seems to be a better version of that - much more aggressive looking than the old model (hated those round lights and completely flat back). Body styling is really very good too.
That said, I couldn't handle the interior. Not a fan of "boxed in" interiors at all and that thing looks like you couldn't get out of it if you tried. It looks great in concept but I'm sure it feels very cramped.

Three years of work for three days of perfection. This pony WILL get back out on the road and it WILL reliably take me where I want to go... and it will always, always keep me safe.
Lol on the Johnny Sokko never heard of until now. The old concept was a better looking car.

If you can afford a new car you can afford a classic car.
i like the vette better every time they redesign them. this one is mixed for me. i like it from the doors back, the front doesn't go with the rear, at least in the pics.
I wouldn't trust the NEW tech of a GM product on a first year new model. As noted below, steering column lock, my 2002 Z06 has been sent to dealer 3 times via flat bed to "fix" the defect. Never did fix, aftermarket just figured out how to delete it. Next it was the fuel sending unit, steering wheel sensor, AC vent control, ABS module, all covered under warranty. Do I love the car when it's running, 'ELL YES! Are the problems annoying, 'ELL YES Buy it again, 'ELL NO!!

Fuel sending unit quit working ( trip to dealership) and the a/c started leaking refrigerent. One of the 2 cooling fans on the rad ( the one that works without the a/c on) quit working. The car only had 78,000 on it when I sold it a little over a year ago... too much maintenace and scared to take it on a trip anymore for fear of being stranded with a locked steering wheel or shifter.
That being said I do like the new vette except for the back. Am I the only one who thinks it looks like a robot stareing at you... 4 eyes a nose and the tailpipes are the mouth.... G.M. has a beautiful design with the camaro and vette from the front/ side and interior but the back on both of these cars is fugly in my opinion. The back on my 98 looked WAY better.

While I agree that the Mustang is a good value, it's apples and oranges. Someone who wants a coupe isn't going to buy a Corvette, and someone who wants a sports car isn't going to buy a Mustang.
Always liked the C6 ZO6 and part of me hopes this will drive prices down on them. But in reality, I'll never buy a GM product. When it comes to build quality, fords not the cream of the crop but GM sucks. Got a family member with a cobolt and that thing is always needing some king of suspension part thats gone bad. Another family member has a current generation malibu that just had the trans replaced with 40K miles on the clock and this one was a lemon replacement for another malibu that where the trunk would fill with water when it rained.
Plus every time i drive a vette it feels like a piece of plywood with 4 wheels.
I'm the only one who thinks it looks like a plastic-y hunk of.....? I don't find the interior looks too classy either.
No, I dont like it at all.

With the corvette now using the "LT1" name again. There are going to be alot of 90s Camaro and Trans Am owners bragging "My 95 TA has a LT1. Its the motor they started putting in Corvettes again" LOL
