I think its ugly and the rear looks like a new Camaro. I have no interest in it. I know early Corvettes didn't have them, but other than that a Vette has to have pop up headlights. Those look like they came off of a Nissan 350Z.

I think it's a nice design and I love the overall shape and lines of the sheet metal. But it loses me on the details. I don't like the rear end at all, and all of that black plastic trim cheapens the look. I will say it's better in person than in pictures, and the dark gray they had on display at the auto show helps to lessen the impact of the black trim.

And I thought this was an interesting commentary on the 'vettes copy cat headlight design.

i have owned a vette and will maybe soon own another, but the new stuff is way out of my price range. this year my wife wants to trade her busted old SUV for a decent C6.

as far as this '14... i'm not a fan of the recycled camero tail lights and the over-all appearance would be better without all the cooling vents and scoops. i wish GM would have kept the solstice-sky platform (especially the GXP coupe) as a budget vette.

Does this look like the front of a Camaro to anyone else?

That is kinda lame that they all look so much alike.

The sad thing is when my car was at the dealer for one of it's repairs in about '07 I saw a 2006 c6 vette on a lift with the rearend out of it. I asked the service manager what was being done to this 1 year old vette and he said the fuel sending unit had to be replaced which required removing the rearend to drop the gas tank! 10 years later and G.M. still had not addressed the problem of faulty fuel sending units which my 98 had the same issue with and was replaced at no chrge by the dealer ( I guess it was a service bulletin recall). I will not buy any more G.M. products and as far as efi and any other electronic control junk on my classics I say ELL no. Give me a nicely tuned carb any day.

I did metion in an earlier post that I thought the back looked like a robot.... the designer must be a rock em sock em robot fan because that IS what it looks like... IMO ruined what is otherwise a beautiful design.

Very well said ds.

There was a side by side photo on another forum with the Ferrari, and the vette looks almost like a clone.

Of course the chebby guys will love it. I do wonder if the chains around the neck for the owner will be optional this year?

This car looks boring to me as I hate the new camaro body style. GM build quality has plummeted so far that I wouldn't want to drive one ever. Not to mention the Corvette is so ridiculously expensive most people can't afford one.

It does look better in gray than it does in red. I really wish they would stop trying to use all the edgy lines on these newer car designs.

I saw it in person today and I must admit that it looks much better up close. Also the darker colors reallt help.
