Default Concast dropped Speed channel for Fox Sports 1

Man, what a drag, I lost the speed network over the weekend. Did other Cable companies do the same? Dish?

You didn't "lose" it. Fox owned it. They "replaced it" with Foxsports 1. Speed channel is "no more." Fuel TV is gone as well, it was replaced with foxsports 2.

ATT U-Verse did. I came home today expecting to watch Pass Time and it was gone, along with all the other stuff I used to watch. Hope I can get by with Spike (power block on the weekend) and Velocity.

And it isn't the cable companies. I think Fox bought Speed and is putting in their own programming.

^^^ That..

I have a feeling that the few shows that actually had any merit will be picked up, if not on Fox Sports than on some other channel.

Fox bought the Speed Channel years ago, and it's been a steep downhill slide ever since.
Anybody else remember 'Victory by Design', or when we used to get spectacular World Rally coverage? I used to happily pay a significant premium to get it, but the last several years not so much

I read this at work then later went home to check. Then said a brief four letter word.

Yes, it happened to everyone because no one can get Speed channel. They can't get it because it no longer exists. It's dead. Gone. Kaput.

The only show I had been watching on Speed was "My Classic Car". I'm wondering if that show will be available on NetFlix, or something.

This is one more reason for me to simply cancel my TV service. I'd like to just use my UHF antenna for CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS and FOX. (Now that I think about it, I very rarely watch any of those networks.) For anything else I might want to watch, which isn't much these days, I'll stream it on NetFlix.

I'm sick of paying Dish Network close to $100 a month for something I almost never use. I don't have much interest in reality shows. And there's not much else on TV these days. Now if I can just convince Mrs. Klutch...

No, it hasn't disappeared for everyone. Still in my listings, still broadcasting. Right now a Truck Series race from Bristol Speedway. Just saw a promotional commercial for "Are You Faster Than a Redneck?" My Classic Car, Gearzzz; Chop, Cut, Rebuild; are all there.

Maybe the channel is now too left wing, commie, pinko, liberal for US audiences.
