Heartland VMFers, use this thread to offer cars and parts for sale locally.

2) Please re-title your reply with a part description. - Makes the thread easier to read.
3) Please don't respond to ads from within this thread. Send the person a PM.
4) Please include year, model, etc in your post. - No sense making people guess what you have for sale.

This is the engine I was building to install in my 1970 Mach 1. I am now planning on buying my first house so I need to liquidate a few of my high buck possesions(not the car however). I am not very pleased to be selling this as I imagine it would really make that car rip, but sacrifices must be made. Adding up all my receipts they total almost 7000 so I am asking 5500 for mostly professoinally build motor. The only real work I did was installing parts after the builder had already gone through and done all the balancing and clearancing. I dont really want to ship it as it seems that would be most expensive but I would consider it.

This an interest only right now. I have an acquaintance who has a 67 fastback for sale, he says it's not bad but needs some work. I have not seen it, but if anyone is interested I can put you in touch.
He also has lots and lots of vintage doors and some other parts.

I looked at a 69 coup near Nortonville Ks last night, the guy wants $400.00 but is negotiable. Its a 6 cyl automatic and was running last year. The motor turns over by hand, the car has a good title, the floor pans seem to be intact as far as I can tell, there is rust in the quarters, the passenger door is ok but the driver has rust. The trunk and tail panel area look ok. This could be a parts or fixer car.

I'm gonna post here first for the local guys, I acquired 8 sets of rivets that hold the data plate to the doors on early Ford products, they should be correct for 65-9 Mustangs. $13.00 per set, shipping will be $1.00. These originally came from a former (deceased) Ford employee that brought them home from the factory in the early 60's. I think original would be a better description than nos...

Fore Sale:

One NIB, never installed repo 65/66 remote trunk release kit (purchased new from Virginia Mustang), plus an NOS (no box) trunk latch. You need this latch as it has the lever built in to attach the cable.

This is a cool goodie....simply decided not to use it.

I have approx $140 in the kit & latch.

I want $100 firm, plus shipping.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NIB, never installed 65/66 LED tail light conversion kit. This is the type being sold by Dallas Mustang for $99. Requires the tail lamp buckets to be modified. I will toss in two buckets that I practiced on by removing the springs, bulb contacts, etc. They are useable but certainly NOT perfect.
$80 firm + shipping.
I've decided to go with a sequential LED kit.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I'm open to trades/partial trades, etc. All for 65/66 coupe.

Need a pair of new subframe connectors (either bolt on or weld on).

New or used full roll bar*.

Rebuildable 4 speed toploader & bell housing for SBF*.

(2) Used (good condition) racing seats*.

*I would be willing to drive around 200-250 miles to save shipping charges.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Please PM or send an e-mail to the address in my profile.
Thanks!
Jeff
OK...so theres this original 65 GT vert that is now in my hands for now...owner wants my help to sell it. Hes a dear friend to the family, and he knows what he has. I told him I would evaluate the car the best I can. I figure the car should be worth about $10,000 to $12,000 to start. Ebay cars restored are selling for $30 grand. I feel Ebay is this cars destiny. Are there any GT pros in the area that want to help me value this car on inpection? Any sites for this car to get a price on it? I may try to sell it locally first if I can get a good grip on its value as it sits. Thanks guys
I personally think Ebay is the best way to go, with plenty of pictures, a good description and an offer to supply additional photos on request should bring your friend the best possible price. There are a lot of savy buyers out there and they will pay the price for a good car. I would set a decent starting price and not set an outrageous reserve, if the car is worth it the price would exceed your reserve anyway... JMO
I know it's not a classic but I thought I'd list it here.
My brother has a 94 GT red, rollbar, 5 speed, nasty sounding dynomax exhaust system. New tires and heavy duty clutch. Asking $6,400 if you know anyone that's interested.
I think it has around 113,000 miles and runs and drives very nicely.
Contact me first and I'll get you in touch with him. I can also take a pic or two to send ya. Car is located in Carroll, IA.
Thanks, John
I have a 92 GT 5.0 from a Mustang, is complete with efi and wiring harness and computer, front engine timing cover and water pump, is damaged and will have to be replaced, (if you are going to efi in a pre 71 you will have to change these pieces anyway). I will be pulling it in the next couple of days, you can hear run until then. $700.00 will get you everything you need (including shorty headers)from this car to make the 5.0 efi swap. I will have other parts on Ebay, I am just posting the parts that I would think early car owners would want... Ray
