I read thru your post of the 70 fastback that you used a donor front end and replaced the back end. I have a 67 fastback that needs new rails front and back on the drivers side and patches on both passenger side rails. As well as other sheet metal work.

I have found a coupe that has solid rails as well as the other parts I need. I am considering using just the front rails and rail extensions as well as the rear rails. My thought is that the rails will already be in the correct position and only need to be attached perfectly along with getting other parts I need.

Do you see any benefit to this approach vs using all new parts'

Your car looks great. Nice ouch on the striping. My Mach1 received new quarters, wheel houses and trunk floor this year. The dynacorn quarters were a terrible to fit with the distance between the quarter window rear radius and the door jamb being short. Regarding the rocker molding. My restored trim has a much better finish than original. I an very happy with the outcome from "king of trim". Marcos is a good guy and stands by his work. He re-did two pieced to achieve perfection for me. At least you know a good place to get original Al trim restored. I would love to see the NPD OEM trim to see if the ends are correct. I don't have complete faith that any replacement part is good unitil I have it in hand. Just me, I have sent plenty of "exact" replacements back to the supplier. Alan
