My York HG1000 AC compressor is starting to knock. The unit still produces cold air, but after a few minutes running it sound like crap. Charge is good.

Does anyone know where can I get my compressor rebuilt or buy a new one (a York HG1000) and how much should I expect to pay for either? I would like to keep the original if possible.

Thanks.

Thanks, I saw one today on the web for $219.00. It was correct, but it was an aluminum boby, which is OK. I was told they make both, but I was also told I can get it cheaper than that so I am going to wait. Let me know if you come across anything.

Thanks.
