Default Getting Started - need some advice on supplies

Just getting started on restoring a '68 coupe with my two oldest kids. Been awhile (25-30 years) since I have done this - I restored a 70 mach one with my dad in 8th grade (had to sell because I couldn't afford the insurance evnetually), he was a master mechanic so I could jsut follow his lead. Learned to drive in 6th grade with his '65 and later I also owned an 88 5.0 L. So I am a big mustang fan.

A major probelm I am having is where to get supplies!?!? I am using Virginia Classic Mustang for my parts and such. But where can I find expoy primers, filler, sealers, etc... - the auto stores these days don't seem to carry anything outside of basic maintenance items

Is there an 'Eastwood like' store around the northern virginia area??

Also, I will not be doing the final paint job but i want to do most of the prep and priming and any tips on how an what to use would be great (I don't have much experience in this area)

Thanks for any help - I did see the shops thread and that is helpful for some machine shops, engine rebuilders.

napa is great for the bondo, body filler, sand paper, and what not. i got all my laquer thinner for cleanup from autozone same stuff just cheaper. the autozone near me also carries some various body fillers.

I used a mix of evercoat and bondo brands for all my ding repair just make sure you pop the dent out best you can and keep the filler THIN as possible, weld up and holes and smooth back down before you bondo over them, and sink the metal around all your fixed dents with a pick hammer. otherwise it looks like a bullseye in the finished paint. i learned that the hard way.
