I go every year. MD mustang club has a show they put on on Saturday at the old Castaways located around 64th street just near where 90 comes into OC. Runs from 10AM till 2 or 3pm.

This will be the first time for me, I registered but am not sure I needed to. My father in law is coming along for at least one day and I am not sure how many days I will be there. I have always worried about just the number of cars and parking, does registration get you parking ? If not any advise for when and where to park ? Any one have any must do's for the weekend ? Is there a best day to be there ? I also saw something for an early bird show or get together some where that I will look into. Hope it is a good weekend !

Registration does not guaranty you a parking spot, but it does get you into both the Inlet and Convention center lots to look for one. Wed & Thur and sometimes Fri are not bad, but Sat you need to be either place early, before 9 or after 12 when some of the early risers head out for other shows. Although there are tons of of shows through out the city and over the bridge off of 50 that you don't need registration for, I definitly think registration is worth it and wouldn't go without it. The Boardwalk Parade is pretty cool but its kind of tough on the left leg if you don't have an automatic, it's quite long. The night hot spot seems to be Hooters on 120th and I generally hang out there on Fri & Sat nights, It's tough to get a spot in there unless your early though, but you never know. There are spots all down Ocean Highway to hang out though.
Cons: Fri & Sat after 6pm the city becomes Gridlocked mainly from 60th down (another reason to just find a place like Hooters and hang out)
The city hires extra LEOs to write as many tickets as possible! There seems to be a cop at every other block... also beware of the kiddy cops on their bikes riding up and down Baltimore Street looking into your car to see if they can write you ticket for a seat belt or phone violation.
If you like cars, its the place to be on that weekend! If you see the Blakrat stop and say hello!
Dave.

Thanks for the info ! I will have to make a schedule to try and avoid the gridlock which has been my fear all along, last thing I want to do is sit thru hours of traffic and then not be able to park any where. I will certanly keep Hooters in mind, there a joke there somewhere !
Hope to see you there,
Jim

What a great weekend! Got a good spot in Hooters three nights in a row, thousands of nice cars, and beautiful weather! This thing has gotten so huge though, the traffic was horrendous! I have never seen it so busy!

+1, It was great!
I saw your car once Dave, you were on coastal and I was sitting on the corner. I made it up to hooters Saturday around noon, but didn't make it up in the evenings.
I got my first fine down there I ever got, (driving with the intention to cause skidding?) I guess going sideways across three lanes when making u-turn is frowned upon? Oh well!
Saw so many nice cars and the weather was fantastic. We left around 1 yesterday and took us 5 hours to get home when it's normally 3.
Good times for sure! Fairly certain I saw both of your cars. Was hanging out at the Carousel in thr garage. Definately the worst traffic ever but that will never stop me. Car is a project so no cruising for me, but you cannot beat the bus to get somewhere.
