Anybody done this conversion? I'm interested in the difference in steering effort. I'd like to go this route so that I can buy the very affordable Unisteer rack and lose the weight and complexity of my power steering, but I have a health issue that would limit me as far as steering effort goes. If it is on par with the manual steering in my Civic si I can handle it. If it's on par with the manual steering in my '65 pickup I can't. Anyone with real world experience with this? If so, what rack did you use?
thanks,
Jim

I have manual TCP r'n'p. I don't find it heavy, because I am used to manual steering (me no girlie man). But certainly a swmbo or gf could find it heavy a parking lot, which is good because they have no business being in a parking lot with my Mustang.

The installation of the TCP was the most bolt-on I have done considering the significance of the project.

An issue about TCP is that I have 67- spindles with higher steering arm than 65-66. The steering arm hits the rack when turning full right. So those with Granada or 70- drum spindle may find this too. I am looking for the 65-66 spindles which is sad because I was thinking about upgrading to 70- spindles.
