I would be down for that....Planning on meeting the group in springfield on wednesday (i believe) and heading down from there.

Looks like an awesome build...i think my 460 and spray is going to have a hard time keeping up with you unless you're running only street radials!!

We should coordinate ahead of time to meet up in Springfield then.

I odered my driveshaft. I have everything to redo the fuel system. Still need to set the tranny angle. Everything seems to be coming together well.

Shoot me a pm once it gets closer to the tour...i'll be driving my 69 car and my buddy will be in his beater:

I'll be hoping for 12mpg with a set of 3.00's i'm going to throw in before I leave. His car has a CJ headed 416ci FE....gets similar mileage.

THis is going to be an expensive trip!

I'm curious to learn where you got the extended shock mounts. If you welded them up yourself, how much did you figure you could add before hood clearance was an issue?

I agree, I will send PM's out maybe 2 weeks out and swap phone numbers. 12 mpg, with 3.00's, ouch. I'm sleeping in my car to cut costs. I htink most of the hotels are over booked now anyways. I'm in the military, I can sleep anywhere.

Ken,

These are early design caps from a good friend of mine. I built them under his instruction. These are a sloppy set but they serve their purpose. I left them "unfinished" for a moment like this, so I could talk about them. Let me check on some details and I'll get back and answer your question.

No pics yet but did make some progress today, I welded up the trans tunnel, cut my drivers seat riser to make room for new seats, (thanks to CobraDan) they're out of a 2006 Viper. I am currently bracing the floor pan to support the seats and prevent any future problems with this area.

I haven't taken any pics in a while, keeps getting dark by the time I think to take some. Well, I has the engine tranny and driveshaft installed but there was some spark plug instll clearance issue so I pulled everything back out and put back in. The floor is done, I had to raise the tranny hump about 1.5". The Viper seats are fitted, floor braced, and sound deadened. I'm mostly done installing the 20 gal cell and 1/2" lines. I picked up a digital camber caster gauge, and will do my own alignments now. I checked the camber and I currently have more than -10deg total yikes! I'll try to get some pics up soon.

Finally, some more progress pics.

20 gallon fuel cell

Magnaflow 3" stainless kit

prepping for supercharger

Opentracker shock tower caps (raises about 1/2")

Viper seats

Autometer gauges

MSD 6-BTM

10 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic, $50.00
1 quart of Lucas oil, $8.00
4 quarts Castrol Syntorq LT tranny lube, $60
AN fittings, hoses and lines, for fuel system, oil system and breather system, $X00.00

The smile on my face after the engine started and idled on the 2nd try...Priceless.

I still have a few more things to do to get it on the road but at least I know my engine works. I'm trying to get someone local to take a video clip for the 3" Magnaflow so I can share. I'll be back with more updates soon.

Right on. I was going to send a link to this thread to a friend interesting in building one and thought I'd look at it again. Oh well, Thanks Nick.
